The Story Behind Été by Catt Design

Été by CD was created by our director, Serafina Catt-Smart, who is also the director of Catt Interiors, known for high end architectural interiors.

Serafina’s connection to scent began with her parents, who collected rare and beautiful perfumes during their travels abroad. Each fragrance carried a memory, a sense of place that lingered long after returning home. Those experiences shaped her understanding that scent, much like design, has the power to define the way a space feels.

Inspired by her own travels through the south of France, Été captures the warmth of sunlit terraces, the freshness of citrus and the calm of coastal air. It is a fragrance that reflects the comfort and refinement of luxury hotels, now created for the home.

The scent was created by Serafina and manufactured by Air Aroma, one of the world’s leading scenting companies. Été by Catt Design was developed using the artistry of French perfumers and the finest natural ingredients.

This collaboration allowed us to express our design philosophy through scent, resulting in something sophisticated yet subtle, a fragrance that enhances rather than overwhelms. Like a well designed interior, Été is about balance and atmosphere, a scent that feels effortless, familiar and refined.
